How to Add a Custom Livery in GP Bikes
Design a custom GP Bikes livery with AI on the official template, then get it in the game: export a .tga, pack it into a .pnt with PaintEd, and drop it in the paints folder.
What you'll need
GP Bikes
The game installed. PaintEd comes with it — you already have the packer.
Your template
The paint kit for the road-race bike you ride. Each model has its own UV layout, so a livery painted on the wrong template lands crooked.
An Ailivery account
Free to start. Upload the template, describe the design, and export when you like it.
Install a custom livery in GP Bikes
- 1
Design and export
Upload the road-race bike template to Ailivery, design and refine the livery right on top of it, then export the artwork.
- 2
Save the TGA sheets
Put the exported files in one folder. PaintEd reads them by name, so they must be called livery.tga, bike_parts.tga, wheels.tga and windshield.tga. The fairings live on
livery; the frame, swingarm and exhaust live onbike_parts. - 3
Pack with PaintEd
Open PaintEd, press Dir Read and pick that folder. It lists every TGA it found. Type a name for the paint, press Pack, and it writes the
.pnt. - 4
Install and select
Copy the
.pntinto the paints folder for your road-race bike, start the game, and pick the paint in the bike setup screen.Paints folder (Windows)...\Documents\PiBoSo\GP Bikes\mods\bikes\<bike>\paints
If the livery doesn't show up
Wrong filename
PaintEd matches TGA files by name, not by order. A sheet called anything other than what the template pack uses is simply skipped, and that part comes out unpainted.
Wrong template
Every road-race bike has its own UV layout. If the artwork lands crooked or across the wrong parts, it was painted on a different model's template.
Wrong folder
The .pnt has to sit in the paints folder belonging to that exact model. A mod-installed road-race bike keeps its own paints folder under mods.
Design one with AI
Create original artwork in Ailivery and export a TGA ready for PaintEd.
