Le Mans Ultimate install guide

How to Add a Custom Livery in Le Mans Ultimate

Design a custom Le Mans Ultimate livery with AI, then get it on track: export PNG artwork from Ailivery, convert it to customskin.tga, include LMU's region mask, install it with the Ailivery Windows helper or by hand, then press RELOAD in the showroom.

What you'll need

Install a custom livery in Le Mans Ultimate

  1. 1

    Export PNG artwork

Generate and refine the livery in Ailivery, then export the PNG artwork.

  2. 2

    Convert to TGA

Le Mans Ultimate wants TGA, not DDS. Save or convert the artwork as customskin.tga.

  3. 3

    Add the region mask

Use the customskin_region.tga mask that comes from LMU's own template. The templates are typically in ...\Le Mans Ultimate\Support\LiveryTemplates.

  4. 4

    Place and reload

Let the Ailivery Windows helper install the files into the Liveries folder, or put them there by hand — exact paths can vary by version and install location. Either way, press RELOAD in the in-game showroom. See the official Le Mans Ultimate community resources for current LMU guidance.

If the livery doesn't show up

PNG is not the final file

Ailivery gives you PNG artwork; LMU expects customskin.tga.

Region mask missing

Use the customskin_region.tga from LMU's own template instead of inventing a mask.

Showroom did not refresh

After placing the files in UserData\Liveries, press RELOAD in the in-game showroom.

Design one with AI

Create original PNG artwork in Ailivery and convert it for LMU's TGA workflow.
