Questions painters ask

What is Ailivery?

Ailivery is an AI livery maker that generates custom racing-car liveries (paint schemes) for free. Bring your own car template, describe a brand, color direction, or vibe — Ailivery generates a race-ready paint that fits your car, lets you refine it, and exports it for use in sims like iRacing, Assetto Corsa, rFactor 2, Le Mans Ultimate, Automobilista 2, and Project Motor Racing — plus the truck sims Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Try it free.

How does it work?

You pick a car and describe the design you want — or paste a brand's website and Ailivery pulls its colors and logos. It generates a livery, then you refine it: adjust the design, draw edits directly on the paint, place logos, and rewind versions. When you're happy, export a race-ready file. The full workflow is on the how it works page.

Can I bring a design I made in another tool?

Yes. Concept your livery anywhere — ChatGPT, Midjourney, or your own render — then upload it and Ailivery recreates it on your car's template, mapped to the right zones and exported race-ready. Making a design actually fit the car is the part we handle.

Does it work with my sim?

Yes. You bring your own car template, so Ailivery works with any sim that uses a paintable car template. Design your livery, then export a race-ready file — a TGA or a DDS skin (or the raw PNG) — and drop it into your sim's livery folder. An optional install helper can place the file into the right folder for you.

Which sims does Ailivery work with?

Ailivery works with any sim that uses a paintable car template — including iRacing, Assetto Corsa, rFactor 2, Le Mans Ultimate, Automobilista 2, and Project Motor Racing — plus the truck sims Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Upload your car or truck template (PSD, PNG, or ZIP), design your livery, then export the right file for your sim — a TGA or DDS skin, or the raw PNG.

Can I make a custom iRacing livery?

Yes — custom iRacing liveries are exactly what Ailivery is for. Upload the car's paint template, describe the design (or bring a concept you made elsewhere), and export a race-ready TGA paint. The optional Windows helper drops it straight into your iRacing paint folder for a quick in-sim preview, and the iRacing livery guide walks through every step.

Does Ailivery work with Assetto Corsa?

Yes. Design your skin in Ailivery and export a DDS for Assetto Corsa. The Windows helper can create the new skin folder under the car and drop the files in, or you can place them by hand — the Assetto Corsa livery guide has the exact folder path and steps. These steps are for the original Assetto Corsa, not Competizione.

How do I install the livery in my sim?

Export your finished livery and place it in your sim's paint or livery folder. The optional Ailivery Windows helper detects the folder and drops the file in for you. Formats vary by sim — iRacing uses a TGA paint, Assetto Corsa and rFactor 2 use DDS skins, Le Mans Ultimate uses TGA files, Automobilista 2 uses a DDS with an XML override, and the truck sims Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator export a DXT5 DDS you drop into a paint-job mod. Each sim has a step-by-step install guide with the exact folder paths.

Can I use my own sponsor or team logos?

Yes — you bring your own logos and brand assets, and Ailivery places them cleanly on the car. You're responsible for having the rights to any logos, names, or trademarks you upload. Ailivery never invents sponsors or adds brands you didn't provide.

Who owns the liveries I make?

You do, to the extent permitted by law and subject to any third-party rights in the materials you supply. See our Terms for the full details.

How much does it cost?

Ailivery runs on paint credits. Every credit pack currently ships with double the credits, and credits never expire. See pricing, or create a free account to start painting.

Is Ailivery affiliated with any sim or game?

No. Ailivery is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any sim or game it works with. All product names and trademarks are property of their respective owners.
