How to Add a Custom Livery in iRacing
Design or download a TGA, install it with the Ailivery Windows helper or place it manually, then select the custom paint in iRacing.
What you'll need
iRacing
The sim installed and the car you want to paint available in your account.
Paint template
The car's paint template, so the design lands on the correct panels.
Ailivery export
A race-ready
car_<id>.tga, with optionalcar_spec_<id>.tga.
Install a custom paint in iRacing

Create the paint
Generate and refine your livery in Ailivery, using only logos and marks you have rights to use.

Export for iRacing
Download the TGA as
car_<id>.tga. If you use a spec finish, exportcar_spec_<id>.tgatoo. - 3
Install it
Use the Ailivery Windows helper for the seamless path, or place the TGA manually:

Load it in sim
Open iRacing and select the custom paint for the car. See iRacing's custom paints support article for iRacing's own guidance.
If the paint doesn't show up
Wrong car folder
If the paint does not appear, confirm the TGA is in the correct car folder under Documents\iRacing\paint.
File naming
Use the iRacing naming pattern exactly: car_<id>.tga and, if used, car_spec_<id>.tga.
Rights check
Only upload logos, team names, and trademarks you have permission to use.
