Assetto Corsa EVO custom livery workflow
AI Livery Generator for Assetto Corsa EVO
Ailivery is an AI Assetto Corsa EVO livery maker: it paints original artwork on Kunos’s own template for your car and builds the livery folder for you — a ZIP you unzip into ExternalLiveries.
How it works in Assetto Corsa EVO
- 1
Brief
Download Kunos’s official
EXT_Skintemplate for your car, upload it, and describe an original design. - 2
AI paints
Ailivery paints the artwork onto that template, so every panel lands where the car expects it.
- 3
Refine
Iterate on colour, panel flow, and your own logos until it looks right.
- 4
Export and drop it in
Paste your car ID, download the livery folder ZIP, unzip it into
ExternalLiveries, and restart the game.
An AC EVO livery is a folder, and we build it
What you get
One folder holding three files: external_livery.json, which names your car, EXT_Skin_C.png with your paint, and EXT_Skin_D.png, a black map that tells the game to use your paint across the body. Nothing to edit by hand.
The car ID binds it
AC EVO ties each livery to one car in your garage, by the long code at the end of that car’s save file name. Paste the file name into the export panel and Ailivery reads the code out of it.
Or just the PNG
Prefer a livery tool? Download EXT_Skin_C.png on its own and load it in a tool such as ACE Livery Tool. No car ID needed.
Brand-safe livery ideas
Your own team entry
A clean look built around your own team name and colours.
Track-day hero
A bold road-car livery for hot laps, without copying a real sponsor.
A full garage
One design language across every car you own in the game.
Assetto Corsa EVO livery questions
What file does Assetto Corsa EVO use for liveries?
A folder in Saved Games\ACE\ExternalLiveries. It holds an external_livery.json that names the car, and the painted textures. Ailivery builds the whole folder: the json, EXT_Skin_C.png with your paint, and EXT_Skin_D.png, a black map that tells the game to use your paint across the body.
What is the car ID?
AC EVO ties each livery to one car in your garage by an ID. The ID is the long code at the end of that car’s save file name, in Saved Games\ACE\ProfileData\…\SavedCars. Paste the whole file name and Ailivery takes the code out.
Where do I get the template?
Kunos publishes official livery templates. On the official Assetto Corsa EVO forum, open the ACE SDK Documentation thread and follow its livery templates link. Each car has a folder with its EXT_Skin .psd. See the install guide.
Can I use a livery tool instead?
Yes. Download EXT_Skin_C.png on its own and load it in a livery tool such as ACE Livery Tool. You need no car ID for that.
Will other drivers see my livery online?
Only if they install the same livery folder. Without it, they see the car’s own paint.
Is Ailivery official Assetto Corsa EVO software?
No. Ailivery is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kunos Simulazioni.
